The Portal🌀
If your search history contains searches like“how to have a peaceful birth”, “avoiding pain in labour”, or
“how do I advocate for my choices?”,
you’re going to want to stick around…
2am Reddit rabbit holes, countless Google searches, sifting through birth influencers, algorithms, and unsolicited stories, all while trying to figure out what’s true and what feels right for you.
You’re excited, but also a little unsure, and you have this quiet sense that you want something else for your birth.
I see you, I’ve been you, I help women every day just like you, trying to figure out what’s actually true and what feels right for them and their birth.
You don’t need to have it all figured out, but you do need a space that helps it make sense.
That’s why I have spent the last two years building The Portal 🌀
What is The Portal?
The name The Portal comes from the space women enter in labour, that in-between, almost otherworldly, sacred place where the thinking mind softens, the body takes over, and you move between realms to meet your baby and bring them earth side.
It’s something I’ve witnessed again and again: women dropping into that primal, instinctive state, leaving one version of themselves and emerging changed on the other side.
The Portal is a two-day, in-person childbirth education experience hosted in Banff.
It’s a sacred space where I hope you start to really understand birth, your body, and how to move through the experience feeling steady, informed and powerful down to your cells.
I hope you don’t just leave with information, I hope you leave feeling different.
What happens over the two days?
We talk about birth in a way that actually makes sense, so you understand what your body is doing, you can work with those sensations instead of against them or feeling like labour is something that is ‘happening to you’.
We practice real tools; movement, breath, vocalising, labour and pushing positions, partner support, counter pressure and comfort measures. Walk away with tools you’ll actually use in labour.
Ask real questions and get honest, grounded answers from a practicing doula.

Partners — this is for you too!
As a partner you want and need to be equipped to meet the realities of labour.
This is not a time to be passive.
After this weekend you won’t question what your role is. You will leave knowing how to show up physically, emotionally, practically, you’ll learn gentle ways to advocate and hold space for your labouring woman.
Dedicating this weekend to actively learning how to show up and not only hear her preferences but be able to protect and hold space for them come labour, will greatly impact the way your partner navigates Labourland.
Take the plunge…
Spend the weekend alongside other couples who are in the same season as you,
leave feeling more connected, not just to the information, but to one another and the experience ahead.
Walk into your birth feeling informed, supported, and able to stay grounded however it unfolds.
